Fragments of Time explores memory as an unstable and evolving system. Through gesture-based interaction and AI-driven processes, fragmented images are continuously reorganized into a living visual archive. Rather than restoring clarity, the project embraces distortion and absence as essential conditions of memory.
Narrative
The project began while watching old camcorder footage recorded by my mother when I was seven years old in New Zealand. Although the footage clearly captured those moments, my memories felt incomplete and different. This gap between recorded images and remembered experiences became the starting point of the project.
Process
Designed a system that analyzes image fragments and reconstructs them through AI-driven transformation. Each iteration produces a new version of the past. This process does not aim for accuracy, but for transformation. The process includes image sampling, pattern extraction, and visual recomposition.
Archive
The system expands into a broader set of visual expressions through pattern variations, dynamic compositions, and adaptive color treatments.
AI-generated imagery serves as a foundational layer, which is then transformed into structured patterns and modular visual assets. This approach allows the system to scale consistently across different formats while maintaining a unified visual language.

Interactive Installation
The work is presented as an interactive spatial experience where memory is continuously reconstructed in real time. Participants engage through gesture, activating the system to transform and reinterpret memory fragments as they move. The space evolves into a dynamic archive shaped by interaction, where each moment produces a new version of memory.
