Coinbase System Update was a live event motion project built around a multi-screen keynote environment. The work focused on creating a unified visual language that could support welcome states, speaker introductions, chapter transitions, product showcases, infographics, and large-scale takeover moments across a three-screen stage system.
System Design
The visual system was structured around a three-screen environment, where content, ambient motion, and chapter identity could shift depending on the keynote moment. This allowed the stage to move fluidly between branded idle states, speaker moments, product presentations, and transitional takeovers.
Motion Language
The motion language was built from luminous gradients, layered blue depth, and soft-edged geometric forms. Repeating frames, ambient icon loops, and controlled glow helped create a futuristic atmosphere while keeping the stage graphics readable at scale.
A generative typography toolkit was developed alongside this, allowing titles and messaging to remain consistent, flexible, and legible across all screen formats.
